Turning Points

Find out how to thrive when facing a crisis

Life is full of turning points. How we respond to these turning points is key to whether we are happy or not. Explore how to find opportunities to move forward and thrive when facing a crisis or threat.

Vidya — Going Godward

Here’s what a yoga devotee does at life’s turning points:  We turn to God and ask God for help in moving forward spiritually as we experience the crisis or challenge. We pray, “Lord, how may I grow closer to You in dealing with this situation?” This is called vidya, going Godward.

  • Turning points allow us to choose to learn and grow
  • Find out how karmas, effects from past causes, provide us with opportunities to face our challenges
  • Patanjali (Yoga Sutras)explains that experiences occur in order to either teach us or to liberate us
  • Examine the turning points in your life
  • Discover the yogi’s secret to happiness:  turning to God and asking the Lord for help when making choices
  • Find out how the force of vidya takes you Godward

How to Succeed

As you may know, we do not charge for our courses. All Yoga World content is free and available to you with our blessings. However, we do have a simple, but important request that’s key to the transformations necessary to succeed on the path.

We ask you to commit two hours a week to selfless service. This service can be anything you choose ranging from helping a family member or neighbor to volunteering at a nonprofit organization.

This commitment is solely between you and your inner self.
